What is Vernal Moments?
Vernal Moments is a blog dedicated to discussing a variety of topics that are very prominent in the world today. However, there are a few other topics that most may find are not often discussed in popular and mainstream media as well. It’s a blog that tries to stray away from the ordinary yet can often backtrack towards it. A very informative but quirky spot in the universe that is the Internet.
What topics will be discussed?
Culture – Culture is a topic that will be discussed very often. The other topics may have culture in them as well, as culture itself is a very broad term when used. World topics, historical and anthropological aspects of a region of the world, popular topics, etc.
Music – Music is a topic that will probably get the most attention, considering that I’m very attracted to different musical genre. Certain genres of music that will get mention here are Indie, Rock, Progressive/Alternative, Electro, JPop & JRock (Japanese), KPop, KRap & KRock (Korean), French Pop, and much more.
On that note, Reviews will also be given for some of the musical artists mentioned in this blog, giving my viewpoints and opinions on singles and albums released.
Movies – Movies will be discussed here as well, given in a review format. Movies of all kinds will be discussed in this blog, giving constructive criticism for plot, story-line, characters, soundtrack, and producing.
Thoughts - A section of the blog that I will give my thoughts or ideas about on very random topics, issues, and observations that are made through the week. They are open for discussion and will have some forms of humor in them at times.
Fashion – A section of the blog will discuss current or past fashion trends which have made a huge impact on the popular culture in the world today.
Fiction and Essays – I may post a few of my short stories in this blog as well, along with essays that I find could be great for discussion.
Oddities/Hobbies – A section of the blog in which my hobbies, interests in technology and other quirky things will be posted.
What’s in it for the reader?
The reader will have the option of voicing their opinion on the various topics mentioned in the blog, as it is encouraged to leave feedback or different viewpoints. The reader will also have the option of requesting certain things to be reviewed, critiqued, or given mention as well. Enjoy, rant, rave, laugh, or stalk. It is all good.
How often will this blog be updated?
Considering that I’m will be a student (again) for grad school soon and I work a full-time job, this page will try to be updated at least twice a week. In case there is a certain reason why I cannot update, a special announcement will be made.
